Mason’s Swimming Hole in Cape Tribulation is a popular spot for visitors to cool down on a hot tropical day.
Immerse in a refreshing freshwater creek surrounded by a lush canopy of trees.
Crocodiles are not known to visit this creek.
Please take a moment to read the terms of entry before taking a swim and an entry fee of a $1 per person applies.
Mason’s Swimming Hole is located on private property at Mason’s Cafe in Cape Tribulation.
The waterhole is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair access as there are steep steps down to the swimming area.

Tropical Cyclone Jasper crossed as a Category 2 cyclone 13th Dec 2023. The event caused significant damage to Cape Tribulation Road, Cape Tribulation Bloomfield Road & numerous other sites.
Repairs are well under the way and most roads have access for traffic, some sections have limitations. Visit the Douglas Shire council website for the latest road updates.
