Daintree Life

We are a small local organisation based in Cow Bay and our aim is simple - to work with various land owners and stakeholders to replace weed filled areas with native rainforest to restore ecological function and increase habitat and food resource for our iconic wildlife. This includes areas of council land, private land and National Park.

We started planting north of the river in November 2018 and we have so far replaced weeds with 14,000 trees (as at August 2022).

Funding for our work comes from many sources such as fundraisers, private donations, grants, corporate sponsors, Containers for Change and increasingly popular are memorial plantings for loved ones.
